1. Which BMI Tier Are You In?

BMI sets the price. BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height (m)², and the tiers are under 23, 23–25, 25–27, 27–29.9 and 30 or above.

For example, at 160 cm and 62 kg your BMI is about 24.2, which falls in 23–25. Whether pricing uses the height and weight you report or the measurement taken at the clinic, please confirm at your consultation. Also ask which tier applies if you land exactly on a border value such as 25.0.

2. Price List or Lowest Promotional Price?

De:Light Surgery's price list is titled "Price List · Lowest Promotional Price", and for some areas a single tier shows two numbers: the price list first, then the lowest promotional price.

For abdomen liposuction at BMI 23–25, the price list shows ₩3,800,000 and the lowest promotional price ₩3,750,000. For thigh liposuction in the same tier it is ₩4,300,000 and ₩4,250,000. Arms and calves list only one number. The price list does not state the conditions for the lowest promotional price, so confirm at your consultation which number your quote uses before paying.

3 and 4. Do the Treatment Area and Add-Ons Match?

Even when both are called "abdomen liposuction", De:Light Surgery's abdomen area covers upper abdomen + lower abdomen + flanks + love handles, all with 360-degree circumferential liposuction. Arm liposuction covers the whole arm + accessory breast tissue + underarm.

Arm liposuction also has an add-on for back bulge: ₩350,000 per side, ₩700,000 for both sides. This is an add-on and is not included in the arm price. Shoulder-back and bra-line liposuction (360 degrees) is a separate item, and which one you need is decided by the doctor after examination.

5. Is the ₩100,000 De:MIS Suture in Your Quote?

The price list shows De:MIS stitch-removal-free suture as a separate ₩100,000 item (VAT included). With this suture you don't need to fly back to Korea just to have stitches removed.

Here are two sample quotes K-Clinic added up from the price list, at BMI 23–25, lowest promotional price, VAT included:

• Abdomen liposuction: 3,750,000 + De:MIS 100,000 = ₩3,850,000
• Arm liposuction + back bulge both sides: 2,700,000 + 700,000 + De:MIS 100,000 = ₩3,500,000

If your quote is ₩100,000 lower than these figures, the suture is most likely not included yet. If it is higher, ask which item accounts for the difference.

What Happens If Your BMI Crosses 25?

Moving from BMI 23–25 to 25–27 adds ₩350,000 each for abdomen and thigh liposuction, ₩200,000 for arms and ₩150,000 for shoulder-back and bra-line (lowest promotional price, VAT included).

If your BMI is close to the border, K-Clinic recommends preparing the amounts for both tiers so the difference doesn't surprise you after the clinic confirms your measurements.

6. Is VAT Included, and Who Is Your Surgeon?

De:Light Surgery's price list is VAT-inclusive, so you don't add another 10% VAT. This differs from the VAT-exclusive prices at many Korean dermatology clinics.

Also confirm the responsible doctor before paying. From consultation and pre-op tests to surgery, Director Kim Sung-hoon (board-certified surgeon) personally handles everything, so you won't meet one doctor at the consultation and another in the operating room. You will need to wear a compression garment after surgery, so ask at your consultation whether it costs extra and when you can board your flight home.
