After surgery you rest in a private recovery room, not in a corridor or shared space. You leave once you are ready to go.
After you leave, wear the compression garment and rest fully, as the doctor instructs. A few practical tips:
- Do not plan anything else for that day. Go straight back to your accommodation.
- Take a taxi from the clinic to your accommodation, with less walking and fewer transfers.
- Get food ready near your accommodation beforehand so you do not need to go out again.
- If you are travelling alone, save your accommodation address on your phone so you can show the driver.
